About VMPS
VMPS (Veritone Minimum Phase Speakers) was an American loudspeaker manufacturer founded in 1977 by Brian Cheney. Renowned for innovative designs such as the RM series with ribbon drivers and tunable passive radiators, VMPS emphasized listener adjustability and musicality over strict measurement. The brand earned accolades for models like the RM40, which won Best of CES (High-End Audio, 2002). VMPS ceased operations in 2012 following Cheney's death after over 35 years of operation, leaving a strong legacy among audiophiles.
