About the RM V60
The VMPS RM V60 is an open-back, damped reverse horn loudspeaker designed for about 50% dipole operation. It features an adjustable open baffle system line array design, allowing for acoustic tuning and customization. The speaker is highly sensitive, with approximately 100 dB/1W/1m for the tweeter, 95 dB for the mids, and 94 dB for the woofers, enabling efficient power use even with small amplifiers. The RM V60 incorporates VMPS's patented Constant Directivity Wave Guide (CDWG) technology to enhance horizontal dispersion and uses planar diaphragm ribbon midranges called Neopanels. It also includes passive radiators with adjustable mass tuning to optimize bass response and tonal balance according to the listening environment. The speaker's design aims to mimic the radiation pattern of live acoustic instruments, providing a natural and immersive listening experience. The RM V60 was introduced around 2007 as part of the RM family and is noted for its unique sound and extensive tweaking possibilities.
