About the RM30

The VMPS RM30 is a sophisticated four-way loudspeaker system that combines a ribbon super-tweeter, three proprietary Neodymium planar-ribbon midrange drivers arranged in a vertical line source, two 6.5-inch front-firing mid-woofers, one side-firing 10-inch woofer, and two down-firing 6-inch passive radiators. This design delivers superb octave-to-octave coherency and natural sound reproduction. The midrange drivers cover 200Hz to 10kHz, with some overlap from the mid-woofers into the lower midrange. The speaker has micro-adjustable L-pads for midrange and super-tweeter level control, and bass tuning is possible by adjusting the mass on the passive radiators. The RM30 offers a frequency response of 32Hz to 35kHz (-3dB), an impedance of 4 Ohms, and a sensitivity of 89dB/1W/1m. It features Soundcoat cabinet treatment to reduce resonance and heavy brass bi-amp terminals. Standard finishes include light oak, dark oak, and piano black, with optional cherry, rosewood, or walnut finishes. The base price is approximately per pair, with optional upgrades such as carbon-fiber mid-woofers and premium capacitors available. The RM30 is praised for its delicacy, transparency, speed, and naturalness, and it can be placed close to a back wall due to its 50cm depth. It is considered a compact yet high-performance speaker in the VMPS lineup, blending dynamic capabilities of horns, immediacy of electrostatics, and fine detailing of dynamic designs.
