The Vertere Acoustics RG-1 Reference Groove is a high-end, belt-drive analogue record player designed as a low-resonance platform for a tonearm and cartridge. It uses a Swiss-made 24-pole synchronous motor with an external microprocessor-controlled drive supply, a precision two-piece platter assembly, an aerospace-grade phosphor-bronze bearing housing, and a tungsten-carbide spindle supported by a silicon-nitride ball. Its layered cast-acrylic plinth and multi-stage compliant/rigid isolation system are intended to suppress motor, structural, and environmental vibration. The product is currently listed on Vertere Acoustics’ official website and appears to remain part of the company’s current range; exact package contents can vary, with tonearm, cartridge, motor-drive, isolation-platform, and finish options available separately or in configured systems.
