About the VLR Wood
The Vandersteen VLR Wood is a high-performance compact bookshelf or in-cabinet speaker designed for small spaces where full-range floorstanders are impractical. It employs a coaxial driver configuration with a 6.5” mineral-filled polycone woofer and 1” tweeter (alloy-dome in standard model, carbon Perfect Piston™ in CT variant) to achieve time- and phase-coherence without physical time-alignment. Wired in positive phase with first-order crossovers, it delivers coherent imaging and dimensional purity, suitable for stereo or home theater use near walls or in corners. Available in multiple real wood finishes like walnut, cherry, and upgrades such as birdseye maple. Made in the USA with barrier strip inputs.
