About the System Nine Bedrock
The Vandersteen System NINE Bedrock is a special constrained-layer granite base specifically engineered for all Model Seven floor-standing speakers, including Mk I, Mk II, and XTRM versions. Fabricated from layers of granite and proprietary materials with stainless steel coupling hardware, it adds significant mass and immense rigidity to the speaker enclosure, rendering it more silent and inert for blacker backgrounds and reduced sonic signatures. It raises the driver height relative to the listener, enhancing the sense of space, depth, and immersion. Bedrock yields a new level of sonic presence, expanded sound field, and bass clarity. Vandersteen recommends it as the first step toward the full System NINE and it is included as a vital component in the Model Seven XTRM. It retrofits onto existing Model Seven speakers and is the least expensive System NINE component with an excellent performance-value ratio.
