About the 2W
The Model 2W is a powered subwoofer designed to extend the bass response of stereo or home-theater loudspeakers. It uses three downward-firing 8-inch drivers in a front slot-loaded enclosure and a built-in 300-watt amplifier with feed-forward error correction. The original Model 2W was introduced in 1984 and was in production from 1983 to 1999. This is the Model 2W, not the later 2Wq or V2W variants.
