About the SL-23
The Technics SL-23 is a vintage belt-drive turntable with a DC motor using frequency-generator servo control. It has electronic selection of 33⅓ and 45 rpm, separate pitch adjustment with a 6% range, and a 30 cm die-cast aluminum platter. Its static-balanced S-shaped tubular tonearm has automatic return and shut-off at the end of a record. The original model was also offered as the SL-23K with a black fascia; this description is for the SL-23, not the distinct SL-23A.
