About the SL-1600
The Technics SL-1600 is a fully automatic, two-speed direct-drive turntable from the original SL-1600 generation, not the later SL-1600MK2. It uses a B/FG servo DC motor with an integrated control IC and a 33 cm die-cast aluminum platter. Automatic start and tonearm return, record-size selection, memo-repeat, and separate pitch adjustment for each speed are among its operating features.
