About the 60 One of One
The SME Model 60 One of One is the pinnacle of SME's turntable engineering, handcrafted as a signature commission with a custom anodized color never to be repeated, created by SME's specialist chemist using a unique process on the aluminum chassis and sub-chassis. It features an entirely new design surpassing the legendary Model 30, with an intelligent suspension system controlling both vertical and horizontal planes, a hydraulically damped main bearing, decoupled adjustable feet, acoustically treated chassis, sub-chassis, and platter, plus a sophisticated DSP-controlled AC synchronous belt-drive motor for ultimate speed stability. Paired exclusively with the advanced Series VA tonearm, made from a high-density, rigid non-metallic polymer resin armtube for minimized resonance and optimal sonic transparency. This turntable delivers unparalleled precision, pitch stability, low noise, and pure audio reproduction, embodying 75 years of SME craftsmanship as a 'forever home' masterpiece.
