About the Premier
The Scheu Analog Premier is a heavyweight, belt-driven turntable offered in multiple configurations. It uses a low-resonance acrylic platter and Scheu’s inverted precision bearing, with a ceramic ball at the top of the spindle. A separate DC motor drives the platter via a fine nylon string; speed selection is 33 or 45 rpm, with fine adjustment by potentiometer. The platter is available in 50 mm and 80 mm heights, and the deck accommodates 9-inch or 12-inch tonearms. The Premier MKIII configuration can mount two tonearms.
