About the SR-929
The Sansui SR-929 is a manual, two-speed direct-drive turntable introduced in the mid-1970s. Its brushless DC motor uses a quartz-oscillator servo system for speed regulation, with a 302 mm die-cast aluminum platter and a statically balanced S-shaped tonearm supported by a knife-edge and point bearing. The tonearm accommodates cartridges weighing 2–11 g, or 11–21 g with the auxiliary counterweight. The model was produced in Japan and is discontinued.
