About the Planar 3
The Rega Planar 3 turntable represents a significant redesign with a lightweight, rigid plinth using double brace technology, redesigned sub-platter for improved accuracy and stiffness, float glass Optiwhite 12mm polished platter, re-engineered brass main hub bearing, improved feet for vibration isolation, and 24V low-noise motor with control PCB compatible with optional Neo PSU. It includes the hand-assembled RB330 tonearm with zero-tolerance bearings, low capacitance phono cable with Neutrik plugs, and advanced EBLT drive belt. Available in high-gloss white, black, red, and light oak effect finishes (new for 2024). Supplied with clear dust cover and lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Compatible cartridges include Nd3, Nd5, Elys 2, or Exact (sold separately or factory-fitted). Widely awarded What Hi-Fi? Product of the Year 2016-2021.
