About the WAX Engine
The Opera Consonance WAX Engine is a skeletal-design analog turntable package that combines a belt-drive platter system, a 9-inch tonearm, and a low-resonance aluminum chassis. It was developed with Well Tempered Lab influence and later updated with the Well Tempered Lab “Zero Clearance” platter bearing, a new platter, and an improved tonearm/drive system. Available listings describe it as a turntable plus tonearm and MM phono stage bundle, with cartridge typically sold separately.
