About the Merrill Heirloom mkII
The Merrill Heirloom mkII is a discontinued high-end belt-drive turntable from Merrill’s Heirloom series. It uses a suspended subchassis design with an acrylic subchassis, a damped motor, a separate power supply, and an upgraded platter and spindle assembly. Documented examples include an acrylic platter with a lead mat and an outer clamp ring. Tonearm and cartridge configurations varied by example, so they should not be assumed to be included. The model is primarily encountered on the used market.
