About the PD441
The Luxman PD-441 is a Japanese direct-drive turntable with crystal-controlled quartz PLL speed regulation and a flat, brushless DC servo motor incorporating a load-free spindle system. It has a 30 cm, 2.5 kg die-cast aluminum platter and supports 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. The turntable was supplied without a tonearm, but includes provisions for fitting one; interchangeable tonearm base plates were available. Published specifications include wow and flutter of no more than 0.025% WRMS, a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 75 dB, and dimensions of approximately 474 mm wide, 160 mm high, and 392 mm deep. Its weight is approximately 17 kg.
