About the 1219
The Dual 1219 is a German-made, fully automatic three-speed idler-drive turntable and record changer introduced in 1969. It can be used for single-play operation or to play up to six records sequentially with the changer spindle. Its design includes a four-pole synchronous motor, a heavy dynamically balanced non-magnetic platter, pitch adjustment, and a long, gimbal-mounted tonearm with a removable standard half-inch cartridge carrier.
