About the M-65
The Yamaha M-65 is a stereo power amplifier from Yamaha’s Natural Sound series. It delivers approximately 170 watts per channel into 8 ohms, with very low distortion, a wide 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency response, and a damping factor of 130. Its Auto Class A mode operates at lower output levels before transitioning to Class AB operation. Front-panel features include channel-separated level controls, speaker-impedance-adjustable power meters, and speaker-protection indicators. The M-65 can be paired with the Yamaha C-65 control amplifier, although it is compatible with other suitable preamplifiers.
