About the A-S1100

The Yamaha A-S1100 integrated amplifier offers 90 watts per channel into 8 ohms with a frequency response of 5 Hz to 100 kHz and very low total harmonic distortion of 0.025% (CD to speaker out). It features a symmetrical floating and balanced power amplifier design using MOSFETs, which eliminates sound quality variations due to polarity differences and reduces ground noise. The amplifier has a large capacity EI-core transformer and a low-impedance design with a damping factor of 250 for powerful and dynamic bass reproduction. The all-stage fully discrete circuit configuration ensures strong and lively high-frequency response. Tone controls can be bypassed for a pure signal path. The unit includes a high-quality electronic volume control, machined aluminum knobs, and original screw-type pure brass speaker terminals compatible with banana plugs. It has six RCA line inputs, a phono input with MM and MC support, a recording output, and a headphone output. The amplifier is housed in a metal front panel with elegant real wood side panels and includes illuminated level meters that can display VU or peak power. A remote control with a metallic texture is supplied, which also operates Yamaha CD players. Dimensions are approximately 17-1/8" W x 6-1/8" H x 18-1/4" D, weighing 51.4 lbs.
