The Woo Audio WA24 20th Anniversary Edition is a flagship, all-tube headphone amplifier created to commemorate Woo Audio’s 20th anniversary. It uses four custom-made StradiTube 3A/109E directly heated triodes—two run in parallel per channel—in a single-ended, pure Class-A, zero-feedback circuit. Its driver stage is Woo Audio’s passive STEP-UP transformer, employing a nanocrystalline core and oxygen-free-copper wiring rather than a conventional active tube or transistor driver. The amplifier is transformer-coupled, point-to-point wired, and built in a two-tier, shielded chassis machined from solid aluminum to help control electromagnetic interference and microphony. It accepts one balanced XLR and two single-ended RCA sources, and provides balanced 4-pin XLR/4.4 mm Pentaconn plus single-ended 6.3 mm/3.5 mm headphone connections. It is designed for headphones and IEMs rated from 8 to 600 ohms and 74 to 120 dB sensitivity. Woo Audio lists it as a current product; it is not a DAC, streamer, or wireless component.
