About the Cosecant
The Cosecant is a USB digital-to-analog converter with a vacuum-tube output stage and a separate linear power supply. The original model uses a 6GM8/ECC86 tube in a parallel-feed, transformer-coupled output circuit. Its USB interface supports 16-bit audio at 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz; later Cosecant versions and configurations offered different DAC modules and higher-resolution support, so specifications vary by version. The manufacturer describes the Cosecant as an early product in its USB DAC line.
