About the VR4
The original Von Schweikert VR-4 is a modular, two-piece floorstanding loudspeaker introduced in the mid-1990s. Its separate bass enclosure and midrange/tweeter module stack to form each speaker. The five-driver, three-way design uses two 8-inch woofers, a 5.25-inch woven-carbon-fiber Audax midrange, a Vifa aluminum-dome tweeter, and a rear-firing ambience driver. The original model should not be confused with later VR-4 generations or the VR-4jr.
