About the Victor MC-L10
The MC-L10 is part of the Laboratory Series and employs a direct-coupled system to minimize transmission loss by placing the coil near the needle tip. It uses a microcoil that is significantly lighter than traditional wound coils, allowing for a more direct connection to the needle tip. The cartridge includes a beryllium cantilever, which is highly tapered to reduce mass and increase rigidity. The magnetic circuit is designed with a samarium cobalt magnet and iron cobalt yoke for high magnetic efficiency.
