About the MB-300
The VTL MB-300 is a 300-watt tubed monoblock power amplifier. Each monoblock uses a 12AT7 dual triode, a 12BH7 dual triode, and eight 6550 output tubes operated in fixed-bias Class A1. Later versions substituted KT90 output tubes and added a front-panel meter for convenient bias checking and adjustment. Published specifications include 775 mV RMS sensitivity and 0.1 ohm source impedance.
