About the Comet
The Tron Comet is a tube preamplifier praised for its natural, dynamic, and musical sound without any syrupy or veiled qualities. It features a balanced tonal response with extended treble that is neither harsh nor overly sweet, a rich midrange, and super-extended bass that is flat and powerful. The unit requires a warm-up period to reach optimal sound quality, improving significantly after the first hour of use. It lacks a home theatre pass-through input but can be manually adjusted for such use. The Comet was considered an entry-level model in the Tron range and is no longer manufactured. It is highly regarded for its sound quality and musicality in the audiophile community.
