About the Spirit
The Transfiguration Spirit is a low-output moving-coil phono cartridge designed by Seiji Yoshioka. It uses Transfiguration’s yokeless, dual-ring-magnet construction, a boron cantilever, a solid-diamond stylus, and a milled aluminum body with integral threaded mounting holes. The Spirit Mk.3 version retained the original model’s basic design while refining its frequency neutrality. Published specifications for the Spirit include approximately 0.4 mV output and a recommended tracking force of 1.7–2.2 g.
