About the Cotys
Thrax Audio Cotys is a high-end moving-coil phono preamplifier designed for modern MC cartridges, emphasizing very low noise, flexible loading and gain control, and a fully balanced signal path. It uses a differential input stage, true LCR-based RIAA equalization with nano-crystalline inductors and copper-foil capacitors, and offers two independently configurable inputs. The unit is machined from a single aluminum block and was introduced as Thrax’s first electronic product in the sub-$10,000 category.
