About the Gold 15

The Monitor Gold 15 is a vintage 15-inch, two-way Dual Concentric loudspeaker drive unit, model designation LSU/HF/15/8. Its low- and high-frequency sections share a coaxial assembly, with a paper-cone bass driver and an integrated compression-driver tweeter. It was introduced in 1967 as a successor to the Monitor Red 15; the historical UK listing gives a 50 W power rating and a 1 kHz crossover frequency. This is the original Monitor Gold 15, not the later Super Gold Monitor SGM 15.
