About the Segue Stealth
The Symposium Acoustics Segue Stealth is a specialized version of the Segue platform that incorporates an additional layer of black-anodized aluminum bonded to the top plate. This extra layer significantly improves vibration absorption, resulting in noticeable enhancements in resolution, tonal balance, presence, and power. The Segue platform itself is 1.625 inches (approximately 40mm) thick and typically measures 19x14 inches (48cm x 35.5cm), weighing about 7 lbs (3.2 kg). It is constructed using stepped-density layers bonded together to form a resonance-free absorptive engine that dissipates vibratory energy efficiently. The top layer is anodized aluminum, and the bottom layer is a composite of bonded wood elements, with a heat-exchanging center section converting mechanical energy into harmless heat. The platform is designed to reduce or eliminate vibration neutrally without adding resonances or colorations. It has a high weight capacity, supporting several hundred pounds on flat surfaces and up to about 100 pounds when supported only at three or four contact points.
