About the Die Erleuchtung MKII HD
The Symphonic Line Die Erleuchtung MKII HD is a high-end, all-tube stereo preamplifier with a separate, substantial power-supply chassis. The MKII HD revision followed the MKII around 2007. Its design includes tube-based MM phono, with MC phono provided through step-up transformers, and balanced XLR input and output connections using transformers. The manufacturer describes the HD version as having a separate turbo power supply with tube rectification, two 350 VA Super Mumetal transformers, and specially housed pulse capacitors. It is an analog-only preamplifier; digital inputs, wireless connectivity, and streaming are not specified.
