About the TZ Direct
The Sutherland Engineering TZ Direct is a dedicated transimpedance phono preamplifier for low-output moving-coil cartridges. It uses current amplification rather than conventional voltage gain, with a no-adjustment input stage and a second gain stage derived from Sutherland’s legacy line-stage designs. It is a high-end, external-power-supply design intended to be left powered on continuously.
