About the Black Pearl
The Black Pearl is a moving-magnet phono cartridge in Sumiko’s Oyster Series. It builds on the Oyster design with an improved generator intended to provide greater channel separation and a wider frequency response. It uses a spherical stylus on an aluminum cantilever and is compatible with MM phono stages and a wide range of tonearms. The manufacturer lists the replacement stylus as RS Black Pearl.
