About the DMC-20 S2

The Spectral DMC-20 Series 2 is a solid-state reference preamplifier with separate external power supply and modular architecture. It provides five single-ended high-level inputs, an optional balanced input, tape input/output, single-ended normal and inverted outputs, and balanced outputs. Available controls include input selection, output attenuation, balance, mute, stereo/mono, and absolute phase. Internal adjustments include high-level input trim, balanced-input level adjustment, tape-output level, and a balanced high-level operating switch. Units fitted with the optional phono module provide phono input with selectable impedance; the phono stage was not standard on every DMC-20 S2. The rear panel uses gold-plated RCA connectors, Neutrik XLR connectors for balanced connections, and a dedicated DC power-supply input.
