About the 550 phono
The Soulution 550 Phono is a dual-mono solid-state phono preamplifier designed for very high gain, low distortion, and wide bandwidth vinyl playback. It uses separate power supplies for the left and right channels to minimize crosstalk, supports two RCA inputs that can each be configured for moving magnet or moving coil cartridges, and allows load impedance adjustment from the front panel or remote control. Soulution also states that the 550 Phono uses the same power supply and output stage philosophy as its 520 preamplifier and includes a switchable sub-20 Hz rumble filter to protect loudspeakers from warped records.
