About the Vali
The original Schiit Audio Vali is a compact, single-ended tube-hybrid headphone amplifier with preamplifier outputs. It uses a NOS JAN Raytheon 6088 tube with a regulated 60V tube supply and a bipolar transistor output stage. The front-panel volume control adjusts both headphone and preamp output level; connecting headphones mutes the preamp outputs. This entry describes the original Vali, not the later Vali 2, Vali 2+, or Vali 3 models.
