About the Modi 3E
The Modi 3E is a compact digital-to-analog converter with USB, optical Toslink, and coaxial S/PDIF digital inputs and stereo RCA analog outputs. It uses an ESS ES9018 delta-sigma DAC, Schiit’s Unison USB interface, and a DC-coupled output. It supports PCM audio from 16-bit/44.1 kHz up to 24-bit/192 kHz over its digital inputs. USB power is used for USB sources; an included 5 V supply can power the unit when using optical or coaxial sources.
