About the Exotica 3
The Salk Exotica 3 is a premium 3-way floorstanding speaker featuring four drivers including two 8" long-throw servo-controlled self-powered woofers each powered by a 300 watt RMS amplifier, an 8" SEAS Exotic W8 paper cone midrange with Alnico magnet, and a 1" SEAS Exotic T35 silk dome tweeter also with Alnico magnet. It offers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±3 dB, a high sensitivity of 92 dB, and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. The crossover frequencies are set at 110 Hz and 1.8 kHz. The design emphasizes analog-like musicality with tight, deep bass and extremely communicative sound. The speakers are handcrafted with gorgeous finishes and are available in custom wood veneers.
