The Rega Osiris Integrated Amplifier represents the culmination of 32 years of solid-state amplifier development. It is a dual mono design delivering 162 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms (250 Watts into 4 Ohms). The amplifier features a minimalist high gain power amplifier and passive pre-amplifier circuit topology, with a passive volume control and a single stage of power amplification between input and speakers, ensuring unrivalled performance and build quality. It is housed in a custom CNC machined aluminium case and designed as the perfect partner for Rega's reference range, including the Isis CD player. The Osiris uses a low distortion, high linearity, bandwidth common base voltage amplifier driver stage with symmetrical circuit topology to provide necessary voltage swings with minimal distortion. It employs eight Sanken 200 Watt output transistors in a triple high current output stage to drive even difficult speaker loads. The cascoded differential input amplifier uses two low noise LED referenced current generators. Feedback levels and gain bandwidth components are optimized for a tight, controlled soundstage, especially in low frequencies. Nichicon audio grade capacitors and polyester bypass capacitors improve high frequency performance. The power supply includes two low noise 400 VA toroidal transformers mounted with Rega's noise-eliminating technique, combined with 40,000 µF Rega K-Power smoothing capacitors per channel, and fast recovery rectifier diodes for cleaner DC. Separate regulated power supplies feed audio circuits and control electronics to maintain signal purity. The amplifier includes 4 line inputs, 1 balanced XLR input, direct input, record output, a reference CNC remote handset, and a reference mains power lead. It comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
