The ProJect Audio Systems Tube Box DS is a hybrid phono preamplifier with a solid-state preamp and tube output stage (2 x ECC83 tubes). It supports both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges with adjustable input impedance (10-1000 ohms variable or fixed 47k ohms) and input capacitance (47pF, 147pF, 267pF, 367pF) for optimal cartridge matching. The unit offers selectable gain settings (40, 45, 50, 60, 65 dB) and includes a subsonic filter to reduce low-frequency rumble. It has two pairs of RCA inputs and outputs, allowing connection of two turntables and two line outputs, with input and output selection buttons. The chassis is made of aluminum or wood with magnetic wooden side panels available separately.
