About the Phono Box II USB
The Pro-Ject Phono Box II USB is a compact phono preamplifier designed for use with moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges. It provides amplification and RIAA equalization, featuring a metal chassis to shield against vibration and electromagnetic interference. The unit includes a USB output for direct digitalization of analog vinyl signals to a computer via USB 1.1 protocol, compatible with Windows, MacOS, and Linux. It has gold-plated RCA inputs and outputs, a MM/MC selection switch on the back panel, and uses low-noise ICs with dual-mono circuitry for excellent audio fidelity and channel separation. The device comes with an outboard power supply and is finished in brushed silver. It supports sampling rates of 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz and uses a Burr Brown PCM2904 16-bit Delta Sigma A/D converter. The Phono Box II USB is suitable for upgrading vinyl playback quality and digitizing records with ease.
