About the SM35
The Primare SM35 is an optional internal Prisma network-player module for compatible Primare CD35, I25, I35 and PRE35 components. It adds network playback, Prisma app control and multi-room/control connectivity rather than functioning as a standalone streamer or DAC. It provides USB-A playback plus Ethernet input and pass-through output, and supports UPnP/DLNA network playback and major streaming/control ecosystems. When fitted to I25, I35 or PRE35, a compatible Primare DM35/DM36 DAC module is required because the SM35 is a digital network transport module and relies on the host DAC stage for conversion. Features and wireless availability can vary by market version and firmware; for example, a Japanese-market version is documented as wired-Ethernet-only.
