About the CD101
The Plinius CD-101 is a dedicated CD player designed by the New Zealand audio manufacturer. It plays standard CDs and uses synchronous 8× oversampling with a 24-bit, 352.8 kHz (often rounded to 353 kHz) conversion stage. Its minimalist front panel has a single control button and LED track indicators rather than a numeric display; playback functions are operated by remote. Connections include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs, plus a coaxial digital output. The player has a damped chassis and separate power supplies for its analog, digital, and control sections.
