About the SX650
The Pioneer SX-650 is a vintage solid-state AM/FM stereo receiver produced from 1976 to 1978. It combines an analog FM/MW tuner, moving-magnet phono stage, microphone input, auxiliary and tape-monitor connections, and amplification rated at 35 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Its silver faceplate, wood-grain cabinet, illuminated analog dial, tuning/signal meters, loudness contour, high filter, and support for two speaker pairs make it a classic entry-to-midrange receiver from Pioneer’s 1970s SX series. The price shown is the original suggested/list price in US dollars; present-day used prices vary substantially with operating condition, service history, cosmetics, voltage version, and included accessories.
