About the Kratos

The Pathos Acoustics Kratos is a hybrid integrated amplifier combining a valve preamplification stage with a MOSFET final stage. It delivers 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 350 watts per channel into 4 ohms, making it capable of driving demanding loudspeakers with ease. The preamplification stage uses Tung-Sol ECC803S tubes operating in pure class A, providing a warm, deep, and dynamic sound. The power stage is a class AB MOSFET bridge configuration, strongly biased in class A for optimal performance. The amplifier features fully balanced circuitry with separate preamp and power amp sections, each with balanced XLR inputs and outputs. It includes 2 balanced XLR and 5 unbalanced RCA line inputs, plus a balanced XLR direct input to the power amp. Optional upgrades include a HiDac MK2 DAC module and a phono stage with RIAA equalization for MM/MC cartridges. The Kratos also has a dedicated headphone amplifier delivering up to 2 watts into 32 ohms. Its design is inspired by Pathos' historic Logos amplifier but incorporates advanced technical solutions for high-end performance. Additional features include a digital display and remote control functionality.
