About the 2M Silver

The Ortofon 2M Silver is a moving-magnet phono cartridge originally supplied as an OEM model with selected turntables. It shares many characteristics with the 2M Red but uses silver-plated copper coil wire and a special rubber suspension. It has an elliptical stylus and a standard half-inch mounting arrangement. Its replacement stylus is interchangeable with those for the 2M Red and 2M Blue.
