About the Strata Platter Mat
The Origin Live Strata Platter Mat is a universal multi-layer turntable mat designed to improve the record-to-platter interface on nearly any turntable that can accept a 5 mm-thick mat. Origin Live says its layered construction dissipates cartridge energy across a wide area and absorbs different frequency ranges with different sub-layers, reducing smearing, artifacts, and noise while improving clarity and timing. It is intended as a platter upgrade for most turntables, but not for Origin Live turntables that already use a multi-layer platter.
