About the CDD7
The Opera Consonance CDD7 is a CD player built around a non-oversampling digital-to-analog conversion stage paired with a vacuum tube output section. It offers selectable output sample rates of 44.1kHz and 88.2kHz, letting the listener choose between the disc's native rate and an upsampled setting. The tube output stage shapes the player's tonal character before the signal reaches the connected preamplifier or integrated amplifier. The CDD7 has since been discontinued from Opera Consonance's CD player lineup.
