About the HP 300 SE
The Octave Audio HP 300 SE is a tube preamplifier that builds on the HP 300 MKII with an external power supply, improved line-stage circuitry, and expanded input/output flexibility. It features two independent XLR inputs, three RCA inputs, one buffered monitor output, two RCA outputs, and one XLR output, plus a home-theater bypass function that can be assigned to either RCA or XLR input. The preamp is designed for very low noise, very low output impedance, and long cable runs without degradation, and it offers three selectable gain levels to better match different amplifiers and systems. An optional MM/MC phono board is available.
