The MY Sonic Lab Stage 1030 is a passive moving-coil step-up transformer designed for low- and ultra-low-impedance MC cartridges. It uses MY Sonic Lab’s special high-permeability PC-SXII core and is intended to raise a cartridge’s signal for use with a conventional phono input. It provides a stated 26 dB step-up and supports cartridge impedances from 0.3 to 6 ohms. The unit has a switch for selecting a floating or earth-grounded input arrangement and a termination circuit at the output. Available listings indicate the model is still offered;
