The Musical Fidelity MX-VYNL is a high-performance, fully balanced phono preamplifier designed for both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges. It features fully isolated inputs allowing connection to two turntables simultaneously via RCA and balanced Mini-XLR. Adjustable input impedance for MC and capacitance for MM can be set on-the-fly during playback. It provides accurate RIAA correction to beyond 80kHz, exceptional low noise, wide overload margin, and low impedance outputs. Outputs include balanced XLR (8V RMS) and single-ended RCA (4V RMS). Powered by an external 12V/500mA DC supply. Note: Gain may be insufficient for very low output MC cartridges (<0.2mV). The product appears discontinued as it is no longer available new from retailers.
